Best Dog in the Western Futurity 2006 Best Dog in the Western Maturity 2007 Torque, whose gallery of photos appears below, is a big "Star" in the household! He is 2nd generation born here at Star Weimaraners, and 2nd generation raw fed. Torque has always been breeder/owner handled. I call him my "child prodigy" because, so far, everything I have started him on, it would seem he already knew! He went to his first puppy match at 5 months old, and came home with BOB and Group 2. He went to his first licensed shows at 6 months and 10 days old, and went WD and BW both days to come home with both majors! While showing in the classes, he took home maximum points at every show but one, where he was RWD to his litter brother. He earned his JH at 8 months old, and finished his Championship before turning 10 months old! He went to his first Specialties at the San Francisco Bay Weimaraner Club back-to-back Specialty Shows in May of 2005. He earned BOS Sweepstakes and BOS Specialty on the first day, and stepped up to Best in Specialty on the second day! All this before he turned a year old! He earned his NRD, completing his V rating, at 13 months old, and his Senior Hunter title at 20 months old. His Master title came in March 2008 in a single season of competing. He is now a multiple BOB winner, over several different group placing and top ranked specials, very sporadically shown. He won Best Dog in the 2006 Western Futurity from the Senior Dog class, and Best Dog in the 2007 Western Maturity. Most recently, he earned 2nd AOM (from the VX Dog class) at the Western Washington Weimaraner Club specialty, held the day before the 2009 Nationals, from an entry of 96 Weims! Summer 2010 he returns to the conformation ring with his new friend, Rob Scott. He is a 27" dog with moderation and balance, and boasts an exceptional headpiece. He is beautiful in outline; extremely clean in shoulder, and smooth and effortless in movement. He has great bone and outstanding feet. His temperament is confident, happy, sweet and gentle. He is in retrieving and obedience training, and shows great promise there as well. He has a great nose with a staunch point, and is extremely biddable. He finished his Master Hunter title in one season, at 3 1/2 yrs old. He went to his first Field Trial in Jan '08 and placed 3rd in a 14 dog OGD stake. He has since earned more FT placements. His NRD came, very cleanly, at his first test. His RD came in 2009, after a foot injury sidelined him from any training, leaving us only 4 weekends to train doubles before the event. He thoroughly enjoys his Obedience training as well; and is working on jumping, retrieving, heeling, fronts, finishes, and sits and downs. First litters out of Torque should start competing in late summer of 2010, and the puppies look promising in dual potential. Torque is available at stud to approved bitches.
