All Breed High Combined

Speedy was owner handled to all his conformation wins, major pointed at 10 months old and finished his Championship before his 2nd birthday. He earned 2nd place in the Senior Dog Class at the 1998 Western Futurity, and he was owner handled to all his performance titles and rankings. He showed in Obedience Trials, where he consistently ranked in the Top Ten. He finished his UDX in 2004, and was OTCH  pointed with all of the 3 required first place wins. In 2004, he also earned an All Breed High in Trial! We competed in the 2003 AKC Obedience Invitational Championships, where his consistent demonstrations of devotion and teamwork brought tears to my eyes! A photo gallery from the Invitational appears below. (To my friend, Sarah Sykes, who took all the great Invitational photos - words can not adequately convey how much it means to me to have that event captured on film!) I am extremely proud and grateful to have been his partner. He was retired from Obedience competition in October of 2005, and turned to field training and Rally Obedience in his retirement. He earned his Rally Excellent title in 3 straight shows. He was very birdy and earned his JH title in Feb 2006. True to Weimaraner form, Speedy loved to do anything as long as we did it together! He helped train the puppies raised here at Star, and he loved it when there were new pups in the whelping box! He was that special obedience partner of a lifetime, almost like he could read my mind sometimes. He is sorely missed.
